Albert Regulations
Commitments
As any company should, Set 2 respects and actively acknowledges it’s responsibility to uphold a healthy working environment and put to practice a rigid policy, sticking to legal requirements such as BS EN ISO 14001. We believe that we take all the necessary and possible steps to minimise any negative effect our work could have on the climate, in an age where it is of the utmost importance to be conscious of this.
Health and Safety
At Set 2, we recognise the potential risk that comes hand in hand with working with heavy machinery and materials. It is because of this that we implement and adhere to strict health and safety regulations, within our own premises and when outside the workshop. We strive to minimalize the risk of accident or injury for all working for or alongside Set 2, and we encourage our staff to report all hazards in the workshop, no matter how small or big the perceived risk, so that we can deal with these in a safe and timely manner, reducing any further risk. We remain vigilant of current health and safety legislations, and always follow the guidelines set out to us by the law of the land and wherever we may be working. All our appliances are regularly checked as standard when working with machinery, with any faults or defects being reported and the appliance removed from the workshop until it can be fixed if possible. All our staff whether regular or not are required to have appropriate training to ensure they are both competent and fit for the work they are to carry out.
Quality
Every aspect of Set 2 and its happenings has been designed to follow the EN ISO 9001 guidelines referring to the quality of our work and service. We at Set 2 pride ourselves on excellent quality control and keep good practice and customer relations to ensure full satisfaction with any service, regardless of size, that we provide.
Efficiency
At Set 2, we vow to use as little non renewable sources of energy as possible for the work undergone in our workshop. In attempt to reduce the waste of electricity our workshop has a large number of windows, allowing us to utilize all the natural light available to us. All appliances and machinery are kept switched off while not in use, along with taps and heating only being used when absolutely necessary.
Recycling and General Waste
At Set 2 we pride ourselves on our resourcefulness. Any scrap materials substantial enough to be used again are kept and any other waste is disposed of in the appropriate way, such as if it is recyclable. All our waste policies and practices fall in line with the legal and moral requirements of our work.
Management of Supply
We at Set 2 understand the environmental concerns associated with the sourcing of materials such as timber and we action these concerns by only associating with suppliers who have met the PEFC Chain of Custody requirements, in attempt to obtain all said materials in a legal and moral way.
